Our PT boat ran aground on a routine reconnaissance mission to the island of Toloa.
The enemy was nowhere to be found.
What we did find was one native hut deserted, several canoes filled to the brim with fresh
clean rainwater, and my boys needed to bathe. In the shack we found an unopened bottle of scotch,
a few cakes of soap, and a wind-up radio.
